Valve releases Steam Deck CAD files so you can make heckin' sweet accessories

Valve has released the CAD files for the Steam Deck's external shell to help budding modders and accessory makers start tinkering with the console.To get more news about cad file download, you can visit shine news official website.

The files have been made available on GitLab under a Creative Commons license and include an STP model, STL model, and drawings (DWG) for reference.

In a detailed post on GitLab, the company noted that Steam Deck owners will have permission to take the console apart and get creative, but warned against being too gung-ho.
"You have every right to open up your Steam Deck and do what you want with it. That said, we highly recommend you leave it to professionals," wrote Valve. "Any damage you do will not be covered by your warranty -- but more importantly, you might break your Steam Deck, or even get hurt! Be careful, and have fun."

The Steam Deck is due to launch on February 25, 2022, after initially being delayed. Last year, Valve dissected the console to give prospective owners a peek inside, and also published a comprehensive explainer detailing how to create Steam Deck projects without a dev kit.
Now that you have previewed the file you can share it with anyone who needs it. Click on the < symbol in the top left corner of the page to exit preview.

You should now see the traditional file tree layout. Hover over the file you want to share and a Share button with a link icon and dropdown menu will appear. Select that button and you can choose from multiple ways to share the file, including via Slack or email.

If you copy the direct link it will be automatically pasted to your clipboard; you can paste it into any type of document you desire. But note, to access that link, the recipient will need to have access to the Egnyte folder.

If you want to share with someone who doesn’t have access to the Egnyte folder, such as a partner or a client, click on Share Link. Now you have the option to either Get Link, where you can copy the URL, or Email Link, where you enter the recipient’s email and send it to them directly.
