Artificial Intelligence Added To Advanced Video Borescope For Remote Inspections

Waygate Technologies has announced the upgrading of its high-end Everest Mentor Visual iQ (MViQ) VideoProbe for remote visual inspection. The software upgrade enables Waygate Technologies to offer the most advanced video borescopes with built-in artificial intelligence (AI) to various industries such as aerospace, energy and petrochemicals. To get more news about video borescope, you can visit seesemborescopes.com official website.

With an all new operating system MViQ OS 3.6, which includes several new significant features and applications, the company is utilizing AI to assist inspectors in defect recognition (ADR) for visual inspection. It also introduces the data management platform InspectionWorks, a solution from Waygate Technologies to not only efficiently acquire, store, and analyze visual inspection data but also act on insights gained from the data across the entire lifecycle. Rather than just detecting defects in critical assets, this enables customers to avoid them entirely by improving processes, workflows, and product design.
“Our customers are facing a growing demand to increase productivity and reduce downtime while having to complete an increasing number of inspections in less time. With this update of the flagship videoscope Everest Mentor Visual iQ and its AI-enabled ADR, analysis and measurement capabilities, we support customers with accelerating processes and make visual inspection more easily accessible to a greater number of customers – all while ensuring high probability of detection and promoting quick decision making”, says Mike Domke, executive general manager, Visual and Advanced Inspection Solutions at Waygate Technologies.

Analytics For More Intelligent Inspections

The on-board analytical capabilities of Everest Mentor Visual iQ streamline the inspection workflow, further improve probability of detection (POD) for industrial assets by 150 percent compared with the previous MViQ OS. To increase inspection output and make processes more efficient, ADR minimizes human error rates thanks to intelligent training, as it automatically detects and characterizes defects in real time.

Smart Collaboration For Smart Inspections

In collaboration with Aiir Innovations, Waygate Technologies’ MViQ borescope now offers a solution for identification and classification of defects directly on the device. The Aiir Lite analytic is a standalone still image version of Aiir’s artificial intelligence analytic. It comes in two variants – Aiir Lite Rotate for airfoil surfaces, and Aiir Lite Combustor for the hot section. Both analytics enable detection of defects in common commercial aircraft engine types. Via the InspectionWorks ecosystem from Waygate Technologies, analytics can be deployed to the borescopes, placing AI and ADR at the fingertips of the end user. By providing technology that assists with this kind of defect detection, inspections become faster, more reliable and uptime of the asset is increased.

New Features For Better Inspections

With the latest OS release, the Everest Mentor Visual iQ is the only video borescope with built-in artificial intelligence enabling users to:

3D Stitching: With groundbreaking advances in image processing, 3D stitching leverages the measurement and analysis capabilities of Real3D to enable ‘panoramic’ images for a complete 3D point cloud of the asset allowing users to measure larger defects across multiple images, accurately locate the position of defects in relation to a fixed point of interest, and inspect, interrogate and report more of the scene.

Defect Detection: Analytic tools assist the inspector with detecting and classifying types of possible defects in the inspection of commercial aviation engine types as well as aeroderivative gas turbine engines. Defect detection reduces the probability of missing indications assisting the inspector and helping to reduce total inspection times.

What is the history of the remote control?

Remote controls are one of the most ubiquitous symbols of our modern technologies. Serious electronics connoisseurs might have a dozen remotes scattered on their coffee tables for their entertainment system; even your friends who are less fond of electronics likely have a handful of remotes at their disposal, controlling everything from TVs and air conditioners to car door locks. And of course, all of us probably have at least one or two remotes permanently lost amid an army of dust bunnies under the couch. To get more news about Led light remote, you can visit remotescn.com official website.

Although remotes are most closely linked to television control in popular culture, these devices actually predate TV. In fact, remote controls are an invention born in the 1800s.
Renowned Serbian-American inventor Nikola Tesla created one of the world's first wireless remote controls, which he unveiled at Madison Square Garden in New York City in 1898. He called his fledgling system, which could be used to control a range of mechanical contraptions, a "teleautomaton." For his demonstration, Tesla employed a miniature boat controlled by radio waves. The boat had a small metal antenna that could receive exactly one radio frequency.

Tesla sent signals to the boat using a box -- his version of a remote control -- equipped with a lever and a telegraph key (originally designed to send Morse code signals). The signals generated from this box shifted electrical contacts aboard the boat, which, in turn, adjusted settings for the rudder and propeller, allowing the operator to control the boat's motion.

Financially, Tesla's remote-controlled boats were a flop. His intended client, the U.S. Navy, thought the technology was too flimsy for war. But the concept of remote control caught on and quickly spread to many other types of equipment.

Shortly after Tesla's breakthroughs, Spanish engineer Leonardo Torres-Quevedo used wireless telegraph transmitters to control first a tricycle, then an engine-powered boat, and even submarine torpedoes.

The work of these inventors was a harbinger of things to come. In World War I, the German navy used remotely controlled boats loaded with explosives to attack opposition ships. It was the advent of a new type of warfare, in which armed forces could direct armaments from a distance. During World War II, the German and American armed militaries also experimented and deployed a range of guided missiles and torpedoes.

In the 1930s and 1940s, a few consumer electronics, such as garage door openers and model airplanes, arrived with remote controls. Other products soon followed suit, but this was still just the beginning for remotes, which have radically altered our technological landscape.

Your next Google TV remote may never need a battery replacement

Android TVs and devices like the Chromecast with Google TV use Bluetooth LE remotes so that you can speak commands to your big screen — but the downside is that these use more power than traditional IR remotes or even RF-based controllers like the forsaken Logitech Harmony series, so you end up having to swap out batteries way more frequently than you did in the pre-smart TV days. Thankfully, one company has just made an exciting announcement on this front, tagged with the bold claim that you may never have to charge a remote or change its batteries again. To get more news about Wireless remote controller, you can visit remotescn.com official website.
Although a lot of brands make TVs with their own proprietary remotes, there are consulting firms that produce reference designs for manufacturers that just want a simple blueprint to follow for the remotes in their Android TVs and Google TV devices. UK-based TW Electronics, which has previously demonstrated smart TV remotes with dedicated buttons for switching user profiles, recently showed off an interesting new design (via 9to5Google). This remote uses the same button layout as a standard Google TV remote, but also slots in a photovoltaic panel.

Plainly put, photovoltaic panels convert light into electricity — and in this case, it’s evidently enough to keep pace with the battery drain of a Bluetooth LE connection, even in indoor light. TW Electronics is using Exeger’s Powerfoyle line of solar cells in its reference design for the new remote, which could be a contributing factor here. Assuming the batteries aren’t user-replaceable, you best hope this remote isn’t lost where the sun don't shine. Of course, we mean in the dark depths of your couch.

There’s no specific release timeline for this everlasting Google TV remote – considering it’s just a reference design, we’ll have to wait for a TV manufacturer to include it with a new model. Maybe we’ll get lucky and Google will include one with its mysterious, upcoming new Chromecast — after all, an improved remote was ranked pretty highly on our wishlist for the updated TV dongle.

Google Home can now control additional devices like a remote control

The title of this story might be a little confusing as Google Home has been able to control various smart devices around your network. However, the company has breathed additional life into the app, allowing it to further control additional devices like a remote control. So what is the difference? To get more news about AC remote, you can visit remotescn.com official website.

Before, you could add Google-compatible devices to Google Home where you can see them as part of your Google Home ecosystem and could control them via routines or other Google/Nest devices by either voice or via Google Assistant app on your phone/tablet.
Unlike certain alternatives like SmartThings, Vera, Smart Life, and other smart home ecosystem/hub choices, you couldn’t dive deep into the app manually to control the various devices. You had to use automations to accomplish this (routines). Unless, those devices have Android TV or Google TV onboard.

That is starting to change now as the company seems to be targeting some of these other hubs by offering similar features. It doesn’t work for all devices, but certain smart TVs, fans, or even IR hub instances, are showing up with additional options. When you click on them, you can see multiple buttons to choose from. Allowing you to control things like input/source, channels, volume, and more.

It isn’t much but it is nice to be able to control multiple devices from a single remote. Especially, if you have fully automated your living room, allowing you to store your remotes up somewhere to reduce clutter. If you find yourself in a situation where you need to adjust something outside of your automations, you can just pull your phone out and possibly get it done from there (vs hunting down the remote).

Your options are simple as you are limited to so many button choices, but it does seem the most common options are there. Also, each device may show up differently (ie, an LG TV vs a Samsung TV). In the example that can be seen in the above header image, you can see buttons available for a “Bedroom TV”. That is actually an instance created via an IR blaster in the room. It the TV was smart, it would have had some additional buttons on the screen.

Rotary vane vs. rotary screw compressors: what's the difference?

We are often asked the question - what is the difference between rotary vane and rotary screw compressors? Recently there have been many comparisons between rotary screw and vane compressor technologies, looking at principles and performance. However, not all of these present all the salient data and insights to enable a potential user to make an informed choice. While both types of compressor rely fundamentally on displacement volumetric concepts, the simple vane principle has the longer track record, having been introduced almost 100 years ago. However, design longevity and simplicity do not necessarily equate to energy efficiency or allow for a full range of capabilities in comparison to those offered by rotary screw compressors. In terms of turndown rates, speed range limitations and energy demand, the innovation embodied in advanced rotary screw compressor technology provides a clear advantage in performance and compatibility in the era of the smart factory.Get more news about Oil-free Rotary Vane Compressor, you can vist our website!

Wear, leakage and lubrication

Some say that the vane compressor offers a 100 per cent duty rating and becomes generally more efficient over time as its rotor blades wear in, actually improving its performance with use. This can be attributed to the vane blades settling into their stator and rotor slots, thereby producing a near-perfect seal, reducing leakage and increasing power efficiency at a level of 5 to 10 per cent higher than when new.

Rotary screw used for a compressor instead of a rotary vane
But it is not all good news. Centrifugal force throws the vanes outwards against the stator casing, which seals each compression chamber. The vanes are therefore continuously sliding in and out of the rotor vane slot, and as a result this could lead to wear to both the stator slot and the vanes themselves. Some large vane models feature a twin compressor design configuration, which is likely to double the possibility of vane wear problems.
Internal air leakage, or the volume of air return from the compressor’s high-pressure side to the inlet, is an issue which can affect both types of compressor technology.

While it is true that early types of ‘dry’ screw compressor with symmetrical profile elements did display this tendency, the issue was largely remedied by the introduction of innovative oil-injected rotary screw compressor designs. A further step was the development of asymmetrical, helical element profiles manufactured with great precision to facilitate oil-free solutions for sensitive applications.

A characteristic of the vane compressor operation is the requirement for abundant lubrication within the rotor/stator chamber. The quality of the specific type of lubricant involved is critical in order to prevent sludge build-up and varnishing of stator bores. Therefore there is a risk that oil changes are required more frequently to prevent this from happening..

Until now, JST has been running an old ERP system that had become outdated and increasingly unreliable.

One of the main challenges with the old system was that of reporting; not being compatible with Microsoft products made reporting very difficult. And in addition to being increasingly slow, the system wasn’t user friendly for JST’s employees. He emphasizes that with every modern organization it’s crucial to have a good system for procurement to ensure that they can supply stock at the right time for their customers.
Watts knew that he needed to find a Cloud ERP system that could cater to the three major parts of JSTs business; distribution, manufacturing and rental, and he quickly found that in spite of there being hundreds of systems on the market, RamBase was one of the few that could address all three. The fact that RamBase is an industry-fit solution for electronics manufacturing service (EMS) businesses suited JST well.

He stresses that since SMBs (small and medium-sized businesses) don’t have an unlimited IT budget, RamBase’s subscription service also suited them perfectly, making the system affordable going forward. And maybe most importantly, being a company that values giving the highest level of service to their own customers, JST views support as one of the most important features in an ERP provider.

USE AND STORAGE THE POWER SOCKET PROPERLY

WHAT IS A POWER SOCKET?

A power outlet is a device that allows electrical devices to be connected to the main power supply for a building. Many customers often mistake electrical sockets and power plugs. Unlike a plug, however, the socket is fixed on a device or building structure to help connect the plug to a power source.Get more news about Overload Protection Socket Supplier, you can vist our website!
When using an outlet, many families often encounter some problems such as: fire with electric socket, loose socket or open socket causing electric shock accident,…. So to avoid and limit these incidents and damage, you should note:

Do not plug large-capacity electrical appliances into the same electrical outlet, resulting in an overload of the power outlet and gradually heating up, resulting in a fire.

Do not plug in and unplug the appliance if it is not necessary, constantly. This will not only make the pins in the power outlet loose and uncertain but also make the electrical appliances turn on and off repeatedly and quickly damaged.

Replace the power outlet when the plastic on the outside of the electrical outlet appears to leak. The outer plastic layer is the insulating layer to protect you safely when using. <With insulation plastic, you will get an electric shock.

Do not use wet hands when handling the power outlet. Water is a very good electrical conductive material, if unfortunately the insulation of the socket is open you will be shocked.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR STORING THE POWER SOCKET

In order for the outlet to operate efficiently and securely for a long time, you need to store it well. Regularly clean the dirt outside the outlet with a dry cloth and replace it periodically to ensure efficient and safe operation.

Cordless Blinds Regulations Now Being Enforced

Canada’s Corded Window Coverings Regulations were originally passed in 2019, with a May 2021 target date for implementation. The regulations were designed to eliminate strangulation risks to children due to dangling cords on many window blinds and shades. More than a year ago, Health Canada said it would focus on awareness rather than enforcement in the first year of the new requirements after industry lobbying to delay implementation. However, it said it would begin enforcing the new regulations as of May 1.Get more news about cordless blinds, you can vist our website!

The new regulations limit the length and “pull force” of any cord on a window covering product. Any free-hanging cord or tethered cord cannot exceed 22 cm, and no cord (including inner cords) can produce a loop larger than 44 cm.

The regulations apply to all products made, imported or sold in Canada, whether sold in-store or online. In its release announcing the enforcement implementation, Health Canada asserted that it worked closely with the Canada Border Services Agency to prevent non-compliant products entering Canada.

As part of the compliance verification, “establishments that sell window coverings will be inspected and products will be sampled from various levels of trade both online and in store.” The samples would be evaluated at Health Canada facilities with non-compliant items subject to “enforcement actions based on the level of risk posed by the non-compliance(s)”, which could include recalls and prosecution.
The new regulations followed many years of policy development.

However, lobbying from the Retail Council of Canada and other industry participants pushed back on the implementation of the new safety regulations from 2021 until 2022. Retailers cited difficulties in understanding the testing requirements as well as supply chain issues related to COVID-19.

More information for consumers about window blind safety is available here. Health Canada also has a facility for reporting incidents, should consumers encounter questionable window coverings being sold.

UF, Scripps Research green-light integration for Florida science powerhouse

The University of Florida and California-based Scripps Research have signed a definitive agreement to welcome the Florida branch of the science powerhouse into the research arm of UF’s academic health center — a step aimed at accelerating the translation of basic scientific discoveries into clinical advances that benefit human health in the state and beyond. The operational transition will begin this week.Get more news about uf equipment producer, you can vist our website!

The integration is intended to celebrate and strengthen ongoing research at Scripps Florida, which has a stellar global reputation, while leveraging opportunities to explore avenues of mutual interest and providing Scripps with a strong clinical partner. The goal? To build on the excellent scientific work taking place to more expediently unlock clinical advances that improve outcomes for patients in the state and around the world, officials from both organizations said.

“We are excited to work collaboratively with our colleagues at Scripps to rapidly take discoveries made at the bench to the bedside, where they can have the most benefit to humanity,” said David R. Nelson, MD, senior vice president for health affairs at UF and president of UF Health, the university’s academic health center. “We are looking forward to cultivating a culture of innovation that will extend from the outstanding science already underway.”

As part of the agreement, Scripps will transfer all assets associated with the 30-acre Scripps Florida campus in Jupiter, situated within Palm Beach County’s innovation corridor — property, buildings, equipment and adjacent 70-acre tract to the University of Florida. The campus, one of the top National Institutes of Health-supported research centers in the state, includes more than 40 faculty-led laboratories supported by a 500-member team dedicated to understanding an array of illnesses and seeking to generate effective treatments.

In addition, UF and UF Health have committed to work with Scripps Florida leadership to immediately invest in the new entity by hiring additional faculty; these new recruits will come on board within the next five years and will complement the existing talented pool of scientists there, possibly expanding efforts in the artificial intelligence domain by hiring faculty focused on areas such as data science and AI. Other natural areas of collaboration with colleagues in other parts of UF Health potentially include cancer, drug discovery, immunology and infectious disease, neuroscience (including Alzheimer’s and other aging-related diseases, as well as autism), HIV/AIDS, and structural biology and molecular medicine.

“I would like to thank our Board member Dr. Herbert Wertheim on behalf of Scripps Research for making this unique partnership possible for Scripps and the University of Florida by taking this opportunity directly to President Fuchs. Without his effort and commitment, this transfer would not be happening. This is truly an example of the whole being greater than the sum of the parts,” said Peter Schultz, PhD, president and chief executive officer of Scripps Research, based in La Jolla, California. “Florida supported us in establishing a world-class institute, and Scripps Florida together with UF, as part of the greater Florida research and education community, will have a tremendous impact on scientific research and human health.”

Scripps Florida researchers are regularly heralded for their pioneering discoveries that have led to hundreds of patents and numerous spinoff companies. They are behind a robust research profile, with nearly $50 million in NIH funding and over $67 million in total research funding, which includes industry support.

As part of the arrangement, a site director and local leadership council will be appointed for the entity, which will be organized and operated independently and report to Nelson. Scripps scientists will join the UF faculty and also will retain an additional Scripps title.

“This integration between the University of Florida and Scripps Florida will create unprecedented collaboration among some of the world’s most brilliant and talented minds to address the biggest biomedical challenges we face today,” said Mori Hosseini, UF Board of Trustees chair. “Not only will this produce enormous scientific and health-related advancements for the entire world, it also will lead to tremendous economic development and further elevated national and global stature for the state of Florida.

HEAT EXCHANGER PROCESSING EQUIPMENTS

C.M.S. boasts the most extensive and versatile range of expanders on the market. This line represents another milestone in the technological development of machines produced by C.M.S. - to carry out the delicate and very important tube expansion phase into the fin collars, therefore, ensuring an optimal heat transfer. Depending on the size of the heat exchanger and the quantity of the tubes to expand, we offer both vertical and horizontal expansion; for the latter, we are the leading manufacturer worldwide. All our machines can operate with an automatic or semi-automatic cycle, minimizing the presence of an operator. For small coil series and for manufacturing prototypes, we produce a ball expander (water-impulse) that is extremely user-friendly and requires virtually no setup – Model MHO.Get more news about Shrinkless Expanding Machine, you can vist our website!

Horizontal Expander ideal applications are in the case of tube lengths from 3 to 15 m, even for limited production lots, and are characterized by the speed and ease of programming (for coils already performed it is only necessary to call up the code). The expansion of the tubes may be performed by pushing (for straight tube heat exchangers) or pulling (for hairpin heat exchangers); in the latter case, the process guarantees the execution of tubes of the same length – eliminating all downstream trimming processes as the remaining stick-out of the expanded is only determined by the cut length of the tubes, all due to an exact calculated, controlled shrink rate. In our newest generation of horizontal expanders, it is possible to select various models like the MOC or the MOC-A combined tooling machines, where it is possible to select only the expansion rods needed for a specific coil, both manually or automatically.

Having the ability to combine different geometries, tube diameters and push or pull systems – this expander truly offers the most flexible expander on the market. The MOC-A Expander offers a camera system to identify coil geometry, tube diameter and position of the coil to setup and execute the program, completely automatic. Our industry knowledge and deep engineering has allowed C.M.S. be the top supplier for the horizontal expander market.

Pump, Hydraulic Pump, Vacuum Pump: How to Make the Right Choice?

In the world of manufacturing and industry, pumps play a crucial role in keeping operations running smoothly. There are different types of pumps available, and two common ones are hydraulic pumps and vacuum pumps. Since it is not always easy to choose the right equipment in front of a multitude of manufacturers, we have produced several buying guides with tips and recommendations to help you make the right purchasing decision.Get more news about vacuum hydraulic machine>,you can vist our website!

A pump is a device used to move fluids, such as liquids or gases, from one place to another. It works by creating pressure that drives the fluid through a system of pipes or hoses. The type of pump used depends on the application and the fluid being moved.

There are different types of pumps available. Understanding what they do and how they work can help businesses make informed decisions about their operations.A pump is a mechanical tool that converts motor energy into hydraulic energy in order to transport fluids. When selecting a pump, the first aspect to consider is the type of fluid being transported. It is essential to factor in the technical properties of the fluid since they determine the appropriate pump to use. To properly size the pump and determine its operating point, it is necessary to know various parameters of the system, such as flow rate, suction head, discharge head, and head losses. This guide provides an overview of the primary types of pumps and their typical applications.

How to Choose The Right Hydraulic Pump?

HAWE Hydraulik variable displacement pump
For businesses operating in industries that require the use of heavy machinery, a hydraulic pump is an essential component in maintaining smooth and efficient operations.

A hydraulic pump is responsible for circulating hydraulic fluid like oil, at high pressure through pipes to activate hydraulic actuators, such as cylinders or motors. By utilizing this pressurized fluid, the hydraulic actuators are able to produce linear or rotary motion, generating the necessary force and power required for various applications.

Given the critical role of a hydraulic pump in a hydraulic circuit, selecting the appropriate pump is crucial to ensure optimal performance and longevity. A well-chosen pump can enhance the system’s efficiency, and reduce energy consumption and maintenance costs.
How to Choose The Right Vacuum Pump?

A vacuum pump is a device that extracts air or gas from a tank to create a partial or complete vacuum within a given system. This is achieved through the gradual reduction of pressure within the enclosed space, which allows air to be drawn into the pump. The pump then extracts the aspirated gaseous molecules from the system and releases them into the ambient air or another tank.

In various industrial sectors, such as laboratories, the medical industry, food packaging, and the chemical industry, a vacuum pump is a critical tool that enables efficient and effective operations.

In a lab, vacuum pumps are used to remove air from sealed containers, making them ideal for use in vacuum ovens and distillation systems.
